The Last American Senator

The Senate is left with D’s and R’s as the last AMERICAN Senator passes away.

The passing of Senator John McCain even though it was expected, was still heartbreaking. Having heard the news of him discontinuing his treatment, we knew it was just a matter of time, and I would personally like to send my condolences to his family.

The loss of Senator John McCain brings with it the loss of the last American Senator. I referred to him as such because I have been following American politics since 2000 and if I hadn’t been, then I would find it really tough to know which party Senator McCain is affiliated with. He has always stood with what he believed is best for his country, no matter if it went against his party or not. A fact that was so evident in one of his last great acts as a senator when he voted against the skinny Obamacare repeal. The way he went down the senate floor and in front of Mitch McConnell, to give his thumbs down vote. There is not a single Republican Senator now with the vertebrae to do such a thing.

The man is all about respect and honor, something that the current President desperately lacks. While one is still attacking his presidential opponent, the other has asked the two presidential opponents who beat him to deliver eulogies at his funeral.

The last blog I wrote was an open letter to Senator McCain, urging him to do the right thing and call for the impeachment of the worst person in America to ever become President. I directed the letter to him because I knew he was the only one brave enough to do something, and he was the most vocal adversary to Trump and Putin. But I hadn’t known that he was in his last days, and I may have sent the letter a little too late.

My thoughts and prayers are with you America as you have lost your last American Senator, and all you are left with now is Sen Lindsey Graham…a Trump puppet…Good luck America!
